RACHEL LYNN

Wisconsin-born Lynn grew up in Northern Virginia, but by relocating to Austin, Texas, she’s firmly planted herself in an artistically enriched region where stellar singer/songwriters are the primary crop. Whenever Rachel Lynn sings, it’s impossible not to stop, take notice, and listen. Her style combines an urgently strummed acoustic guitar with a dead-serious vocal tone. Listeners easily relate to Lynn’s songs because she is like an honest friend who is unafraid to tell the truth, even if it hurts. So rather than stringing together lyrical lines of sugarcoated happy talk, she uses her words to help and heal.

STEP ASIDE

 “Tradition" is the key word founder Clarence Castillo uses to describe the music of Step Aside. Based out of San Antonio and from the South Texas Region, Step Aside can truly be recognized as a true "hot" Texas Blues Band. The Blues that Texas has had to offer over the years has had a huge impact on the sound of Step Aside. Though original in music & lyrics but yet staying true to the "roots" and the soul & spirit of the blues Step Aside's music has a touch of the great "Blues Legends" such as T. Bone Walker,  Albert Collins,  Freddie King, and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

THE BARBARIANS OF SEVILLA

New to the Austin music scene, the Brbarians of Sevilla are a unique mix of musical influences,: 70s guitars, jazz rock / punk bass, flamenco drums and guitars, and bilingual vocals.  Their music is based in the great music from the 1960's, 70's, and '80s, to which they add unexpected touches of middle Eastern and Spanish flavor. They are truly a bunch of music-loving gypsies, at heart.
